Snow on Mars? You bet!

6 07 2009

It is such a fantastic time to live in, when discovery after discovery keeps coming in all facets of life.  As an avid amateur astronomer, reading the latest papers on the Nasa missions to Mars, it certainly has been interesting.  They have proof of snow falling during the nights in the upper northern hemisphere of Mars where the Mars Phoenix Lander has been hard at work.  No life though, but at least all the ice and snow now proves that Mars may be able to support life in the future.  How exciting is that!

NOTE: Keep looking skywards in July and August for some exciting views of Mars, as it will be as clear as the Moon the next two months.
